Asian Ladybug Beetles
=====================

The Asian lady beetles as were released at numerous
locations by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to help
reduce populations of aphids, scale insects and mealy bugs.
You might say that this experiment proved that you can get to
much of a good thing. For some in northeastern Ohio the
advent of fall is proclaimed with a growing swarm of these
Asian visitors.

They come in a wide array of colors from mustard yellow to
red and with spots to almost without spots. They come to
spend the winter with your family and usually emerge by
windows.

The best time to treat these visitors is in the Fall when
they are looking to come in the structure. After a few days
of sitting them is the best time to call.

If they are not treated in the fall then you can expect to
see some emergence on sunny days in January and February.
Ladybug beetles do not reproduce in the structures of homes
or businesses. They reproduce on exterior plants which may
have aphids or scale.
Crushing these insects may leave some staining. Asian lady
beetles can bite , which anyone who has emerged from a swarm
of them can attest to.

A comprehensive approach by Professional Exterminating will
concentrate on probable entry sites. Corners of structures
windows, soffits are just a few of the many entry points.
