Bed Bugs
========

Don't let the bed bugs bite. This playful admonition by parents to their children may as we might say have legs. Bed bugs were a problem in our past history both affected by industrialization and rapid urbanization. Immigration also played an integral part as people brought these visitors with them as they came and settled in our cities. With the advent of DDT the problem was pretty much solved.. DDT has been long gone but the forces of urbanization have persisted.
In recent years bed bugs have made a comeback. Most notably the hospitality industry of hotels and motels have been on the receiving end of the problem. It should also be expected in any temporary housing situation such as on college campuses and rentals.

Treatment

Successful treatment will depend on a exhaustive inspection of the area to be treated. Certainly all cracks and crevices and areas already discussed would be treated. The hot spots for these creatures are generally were they hope to feed. Sometimes it may be prudent to dispose of a box spring and mattress that is infested. However, doing this is not a substitute for a complete treatment. If you are in the hospitality industry or a homeowner . Call us.
